For 20 years I lived in the historic, ever-expanding city of San Antonio, Texas. Before moving to Austin in June 2008, I worked as a manger of Petland for one year while attending classes at University of Texas at San Antonio. Since moving to Austin I have been working in Barton's Lounge, a bar inside Barton Creek Resort and Country Club, and I have grown to love this awesome city. I am now a senior at Texas State University and will be graduating in December 2010 with a bachelor's degree in Journalism and a minor in Sociology.
Upon graduation, I am planning on earning a certification to teach English abroad as a foreign language. Living in another country has always been something I would love to experience so that I may broaden my global perspective. Before applying to graduate school, I am also interested in doing social work abroad through the Peace Corps.
